Bowling pass

Well, Thomas, Desmond and myself went out to dinner at Gridiron. It was a nice  peaceful meal.  Then we decided we would go bowling.  Once getting to the bowling alley the man was saying a bunch of numbers like "twenty something or thirty something" for the price.  In my head at the moment it was a better deal to do the "thirty something" so I said lets go for that one.  LOL I wasn't fully understanding.  It was $30 (some odd) dollars a piece for what he was selling me.  I looked at Thomas when the guy told me $96 bucks lol like WHAT DID I JUST DO? lol

Well, I might have spent damn near a hundred bucks but we have season pass for bowling.  We best be knocking down some pins the remainder of the Summer haha.  It was a good buy though two times of bowling will pay for the passes.  And, it was an enjoyable evening.  I look forward to our next time of bowling. :)

Cathedral Caverns

Thomas and I took a spur of the moment day trip.  It started out by hitting Cathedral Caverns.  What a wonderful way to spend a HOT day!  The cave is simply AMAZING.  It is cool, beautiful and was such a great day!

We ended by going to Guntersville to eat at Top O' the River.  It was really good and the atmosphere was great. :) Glad we went.

Ultimately it was a wonderful day, but what day is not wonderful spent with the one I love! :)

Dress/Buffet/Painting desk

I decided a few weeks back that I wanted a dresser or something to go in my dining room to store my art supplies. I like making jewelry and painting and I have accumulated a lot of things that have no place or home in the house to store them and thought a new dresser would solve that problem.  I also wanted to make something creative to show off the artsy side of me.

I went to the thrift store and found this:

I stripped it down to bare wood:

And spent weeks slapping on the paint, the finished result is this:

I am super in love with this, my very first furniture piece. :)

Wet Dog

I decided not to do Wet Dog 2016 because of several reasons.

  • I have a cruise planned I am trying to save money for
  • The race price went up and was ridiculously priced in my opinion
  • I haven't been training and wasn't really IN to it this year.
I had a great time spectating as I usually don't get to do that, and it was a great day. :)

NOTE: The Wet Dog really let me down with their lack of managing in this race. They had No one at the bike/run transition. There were folks making it out of T1 without their helmets as they didn't have ANYONE there.  There was NO one at the finish line to cheer the slower runners in as they finished and to me volunteers should convene there at the end of a race and cheer on folks across the line, everyone has different battles but its an accomplishment no matter what and this year just felt Bleh on this part and therefore would make me think again before doing in the future, but since they are no longer having it I guess it doesn't matter.  Sad thing is it was ran poorly and the prices were astronomical in my opinion.

Horse Ride

I booked a groupon a while back for a horse back riding adventure.  We finally scheduled it but it wound up being on a day Desmond had to work so he didn't get to go.

Thomas and I had a blast though!!!!

Hiking and wedding

What a fun day!

It started out by meeting Melissa my friend to go on a hike on Green Mountain. We had such a wonderful time talking and catching up.

Then it ended with Destiny and I attending my friend Jill's wedding.  It was a beautiful ceremony and as always I love time with my girl :)
