The Wolf of Wall Street

Thomas, Cathy (Thomas' mom) and myself went to the movie theatre to see The Wolf of Wall Street

When we went to purchase our tickets at the register the worker said she had to let us know that the movie was "hard".  She was trying to make sure that Cathy wouldn't be offended because the movie has many patrons leaving within the first hour due to the graphic sex scenes and language and drug use.  Cathy's response "I reckon it's something I have seen before".  haha gotta love that huh?

We proceed to watch the movie... OMG it is HARDCORE!!!  I don't usually shy away from things but this movie had me blush a few times. It was funny as hell at times, and I think DiCaprio has made another awesome movie! He did an excellent job.  If you do not offend easily with potty mouth, sex I mean close to porn sex scenes and drugs... lots and lots of drugs... then I highly recommend you go see this movie!!! I loved it!

Up Up down Up down noooo its up

I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired.  I know how to reach my goals. I know what my goal means to me. I know what I need to do. I also know that I am slacking.  I am not going to beat myself up for slacking. Emotionally I am going through a lot with missing my daughter and finances being tight. Fatigue is present with starting my new job and working so hard to get things in order that it would be a situation that could set anyone off of their course. So, no I am not going to beat myself up. But truthfully 2013 has not been the year I had thought it would be for me physically.  I am ready to get this going.

I am up 8 lbs again.  I honestly have ate/drank what I wanted and haven't been to the gym near as much as I used to or as I want to.

I am not looking to lose X amount of weight. I am not wanting to diet. I want to live my life heathly.  I want to workout to be stronger, eat to fuel my body and quit eating for pure enjoyment.

Tomorrow is Sunday.  I am going to run 5 miles, and I am going to hit the gym for strength training! Lets get things going in the right direction and quit this damn yo yo stuff.

Happy Holidays

My guy has done it again... we have a marvelous Holiday light show and he has put in much of his time on this for everyone to enjoy.

Take a moment to check out his webpage Lights on Harrison Street  Like us on facebook.

Here is a sampling of the show

Happy she is Happy

Well, I haven't heard from Destiny still. She hasn't tried to contact me at all.  I text her yesterday to see how she was doing. She said "I am doing GREAT!" so even though she hasn't spoke with me in 4 weeks she is doing great. I am going to be happy that she is happy. I miss her terribly.

I hope she always knows I love her.

Grooming

I am getting much better at grooming my yorkie.

Here is a before photo

He can barely see the hair is getting so long around his eyes, he has scruff all over.

I cut his nails, got his matted hair around his eyes from his eyes watering and the tear stains, trimmed each paw and leg hair by hand, and got the trimmers and trimmed his body. I cut his face to try to get it is even as I can but as less hair as possible to make his still look adorable.

He has already been trimmed up here and bathed, but he is still soaking wet.

Here is a photo of him all relaxed in his Daddy's lap.

Stuff

My mom made this often when I was growing up and she called it "stuff".   It is a family favorite still and something I enjoy very much! It brings back memories of childhood, and a taste that is so distinctive.

Stuff:
Hamburger meat
Bell pepper
Onion
Cream of Chicken
Cream of Mushroom
Navy beans
Northern beans
Tobasco sauce (I do not put this in the pot as the kiddos don't care for it, but it highly recommended in your individual bowl or the pot as it is a key ingredient!)

It is sooo yummy! :)

Chicken ranch dip

I had to share this dip as it is my new favorite!

Chicken ranch dip
1 can of chicken (or you can use fresh if you like)
1 container of sour cream
1 pack of ranch dip seasoning

I love these little crackers with it also.... yum!

You win some, you lose some!

Some Alabama fans have been spoiled to winning.  I am sick of hearing about that game.  I mean if I hear anything I would rather hear an Auburn fan gloating or something.... it is a rivalry game, this is their time to be proud.  Someone is always a loser and there is nothing much worse than a sore loser.

Did I like the game? Yes, it kept me on the edge and we didn't know who was going to pull off the victory. Did I want my team to lose? No, who ever does? Do I think there was some mighty luck involved yes, and it has followed those Tigers all season.  We have not played like the #1 team more than one game this year, and truthfully we did not bring it to that ball field either.  We made a lot of errors that cost us.  We lost because of it, and what is done is done. If you are a Bama fan who believes that you can accuse someone of stepping out of bounds days after the play, or how this was fair and that wasn't fair and blah blah blah I really feel sorry for you.  Your life must be completely miserable.

So to Auburn and the rest of the world. I apologize for the ignorant people in the world.  You won. Congrats, and watch our for us next year! ;)  Please understand the majority of Bama fans feel the way I do. We hate to lose, we hate to lose to you most of all... but its a good game and a great rivalry.  Enjoy your bragging rights this year.

And, to my "Cardiac boys".... you have made me so proud to be your fan.  You know I converted to a Bama fan about 8 years ago.  First time my in my life my heart has been for a team. I bleed Crimson and I think you are an amazing group of guys and wow what an awesome coach you have.  We started off on top, EVERYONE wanted a piece of the Tide.  You did us proud and won so many games in a row, unfortunately you spoiled some fans in the process.  I understand that there is no such thing as an unbeaten team.  It took many games and some fluke luck to pull off this upset. I am proud to be from Alabama. Roll Tide Roll!!!!

Iron Bowl Surprises

I was outside working in the yard with Thomas on the Christmas lightshow. Which was going smoothly but it is running a bit behind schedule.  When I looked up and saw a white car in the driveway.  I was wondering who it could be.  Thomas said "Is that your dad?" I said "no, my dad wouldn't be here?" and he said "Yes, it's your dad".   I was so surprised by his visit. I hadn't showered, was covered in the dirt and the house, oh my God you do not want to know what my house looked like... ACK!  But, I didn't care "too" much about it because I was so glad to see him!

We put some drinks on ice and settled in with a nice bowl of warm chili that Thomas had been cooking over night and we were ready to watch the most exciting football game of the year. The Iron Bowl!

Only to ultimately get our hearts broken by the unexpected kick return that won the game for Auburn. If was a very traumatizing loss as we had our hearts set on another SEC championship and even possibly our 3rd National Championship in a row... all of that to end due to some pretty dumb luck.  Oh well. Auburn did come to play and even though I honestly feel we (Alabama) beat ourselves instead of Auburn beating us... it happened and they get to glow in their glory until next year! I am still going to cross my fingers, eyes, ears, legs, feet, toes... well EVERYTHING in hopes for a little miracle of our own this year, but regardless I love my BAMA and still shout ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! We will get 'em next year boys!
